secular mindfulness programmes.
The conference will be held onWednesday, 27th March 2013
at Friends House, Euston Road, London NW1 2BJ.
JKZ will present his inspirational vision of mindfulness in education as the opening keynote. He will also explain why he has taken such a keen interest in the development of the Mindfulness in Schools Project’s .b curriculum. The afternoon will include a rare opportunity to work with Jon as he leads mindfulness practices, shares personal insights into the art of teaching mindfulness, and answers questions from the floor.
In between you will hear practical and inspiring examples of good teaching in a wide range of educational contexts, including primary and secondary, international and special schools, as well as the therapeutic services. Last but not least, some of the 1,000+ pupils who’ve been introduced to mindfulness through the .b curriculum will tell it like it is for them!
There will also be a presentation from leading UK academics on current research into the effectiveness and benefits for students of participating in a .b programme.
This conference will be suitable for anyone interested in the wellbeing of young people and the role of mindfulness in promoting this, e.g. school teachers, parents, mindfulness teachers, school counsellors and psychologists working with children and adolescents.
